Building Your Personal Brand: Use Your Tools

When I picture each of these people, I picture their personal brand. They’ve each leveraged social media, television, podcasts, the written word, and other avenues to build and solidify their image.
The majority of us will not reach the same level of fame as these figures, but we can still learn from their examples when creating and maintaining our own personal brands.

We communicate our unique identity by using the tools of our choosing to craft our personal brand. How we do this can be as small as writing a really great resume to as big as having a morning talk show.
Depending on what your brand, industry, or end goal is, the tools you’ll use to manage your brand will vary. A social media influencer might not have much use for a book deal, but someone who wants to be seen as an expert in personal finances might.
No matter what method you choose, make sure all of the content is authentic and true to you.

In reality, any content that represents you, has your name on it, or is in the public eye is an instrument you can use to leverage your personal brand.
Your next task is to decide which tools you want to use to create your brand.
